Welcome to Victorias Gallery!

Vinokurova Victoria was born in 1960. She lives and works in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 1983 she graduated from the Leningrad University of Aerospace Instrumentation and in 2003 from St. Petersburg State University, Philology faculty. Always being interested in arts in 2009 she started at the evening courses at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts, where in 2013 she graduated with a masters degree. The solid academic education gave her a good foundation for building her personal style.

In 2014 she has been accepted as a member of the Russian Union of Arts, one of the most prestigious arts association in Russia. Also she is a member of Association of Free Artists of Saint-Petersburg, and member of the association Cultures Croisées in France. Victoria has been working in various styles in painting and in watercolour. Her favourite theme has been Russian countryside landscape.

Starting with 2010 she has participated in more than 50 exhibitions both collective and personal, in Russia and abroad. She has taken part in projects Memories of the Silver Age, International Watercolor Biennale Art-Bridge, and an international plain air art contest in France. Victorias works are hosted in the National Centre in St. Petersburg (Nevsky, 166) and in private collections in Russia, Italy, Norway, Switzerland and UK.

Russian countryside has been preserving through many centuries the unique almost untouched natural atmosphere, where a person can feel a true union with the nature, find an opportunity to put down the daily routine of the city and uncover the deeper meaning and value of life. Regular trips to various small towns have inspired the author to create landscapes depicting the scenes of Russian nature. Her watercolours and paintings are exceptionally light, showing her as an experienced colourist and a master of lyrical landscapes. Romantic aesthetics of the composition coupled with exquisite artistic execution create an inimitable charm of the images imprinted on canvas. The paintings convey the atmosphere as if re-creating the moment of time in which each viewer can be transferred.
